The Argument For Internet Piracy (Part 2)
Follow up to this: so I suggest you check that out before reading this. Anyway, a good point was brought up in the discussion of Sony/Playstation's removal of certain digital content from their store which poses something of a conundrum, especially for those who bought said content and it's not longer being serviced. Once that's gone and the content is no longer usable, what then? Hence the argument for owning physical media: once you have it PHYSICALLY, you hereby POSSESS it, aka you OWN it as Razorfist explains in this vid! And this goes for movies, series, games, music, ANY sort of media, and with the onset of 3D printers it might extend to items and objects as well! But as stated before, physical media itself is getting more and more expensive, and content for free online is always in danger of getting shut down. So what do you do? Well, like the old sea-faring pirates of old that prowled the high-seas, time to loot and plunder, in a manner of speaking. A lot of pirating

The Argument For Internet Piracy
Hey look, another potential controversial post on this page. Man, I'm just tempting fate with this crap, ain't I? So I think we've all seen this ad at one time or another: It was around a lot during the 2000's trying to dissuade internet piracy and illegal downloading. Man, those were innocent times, even with the onset of 9/11. Anyway, despite the best efforts behind the minds that made this PSA, and those like-minded, online piracy is rampant, plaguing the high-seas of the inter-webs. According to sources like these: almost 60,000,000 people in the US alone have engaged in internet piracy, most of which is streaming movies and TV/online series. Worldwide, pirated content gets over 200 BILLION views each year. And there is a very good reason for that. When this first started, it was, more or less, a way to avoid paying for a subscription for a site. Today, that is still a primary driving force, but it has since been exacerbated recently, this being a very damn good example of

The Internet Dark Age Arrives
In a follow-up to my journal entry a few days ago... I have very bad news for all of us. After numerous efforts to pass draconian internet laws such as SOPA, PIPA, and more in the US had all failed in Congress, the US Government has finally managed to get their hooks into the internet. The Federal Communications Commission, in a party-line vote of 3 to 2, have voted in favor of adopting this draconian rules package as first warned of by Commissioner Brendan Carr in his statement found here: https://docs.fcc.gov/public/attachments/DOC-398244A1.pdf What Carr warns of in his statement is now an inevitability. The FCC's members are all unelected and unaccountable to the American Voter. At present, our last best hope for reversing this decision are thus. Option 1: The Courts rule it unconstitutional and rolls it back. Hopefully the ISPs have lawyers ready to pounce on this. Option 2: We get more sympathetic FCC Commissioners appointed to vote to roll this back, but it will take at

Anti-Censorship PSA: Save the Net!!!
I've not felt the need to do something like this in a long while but there comes a time when a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. In less than one week's time, on November 15th, 2023, The Federal Communications Commission (or the FCC) will vote on whether or not to adopt a draconian and far reaching effort that will effectively seize control of the internet and hand it to the US Government forever. Some of the details can be found here... https://docs.fcc.gov/public/attachments/DOC-398244A1.pdf Another source of information can be found here... To put it simply, this effort by the government would allow the US Government to control every facet of the internet. It is imperative that the internet remain free and open! If it is snatched away like this, the internet as we know it will be gone! Entire sites and services will be Thanos Snapped away! Common services like Steam would have to go groveling to the Government for permission to offer games on steam, to be able to have a
The USA is currently trying to push multiple bills that is passed could practically destroy the internet as we know it and doom sites like DA, making encryption iligol, invoking mass internet censorship, and gutting privacy and secruaty protections. For more info and to find out how you can help speck out against these bills see: https://www.badinternetbills.com/ as US congress is hoping to get meany of these bills passed into law before august.
First of all, this group will not stop SOPA, instead, it will only lead to people believing this shit is real, when it is not.
Second, what is the purpose of stopping SOPA? SOPA is a dead horse already since the latest articles on SOPA was from 2012! That is 7 fucking years and we have not heard ANY news about SOPA.
Overall, I think this group is nonsense, but you can still do what you want to do, simply because I do not give a single fuck about this group.
Here's a new petition to get rid of the most dumbest articles that must be destroyed, so pur freedom of the Internet in the whole world can be totally saved: chng.it/Fkf66ZT6Mt.
